Volleyball Final Four

The Tuxedo Tornadoes varsity volleyball team ended their season Friday night at the Cool Insuring Arena in Lake George, NY, after competing against some of the top teams in the state—Ellicottville, Mekeel Christian Academy, and the eventual state champion Candor.

For the second year in a row, the team mirrored the success of the 2016 and 2017 squads by advancing to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHAA) State Final Four tournament, a goal that had been set by the team at the beginning of the season. With a proud 15-5 record, a seven-game winning streak, and a return to the Final Four, the Tornadoes exceeded their goals, showcased their talent and resilience, and made the Tuxedo community proud.

Coach Michelle Hines praised the players for their grit and determination. “I am very proud of the hard work and dedication shown by the team every day—they made the season a joy to coach. I am continually impressed by the girls and their commitment to improving both themselves and the team.”

Hines noted that senior captains Camila Granillo, Casey Juance, and Madison Marsh demonstrated exceptional leadership and helped foster a supportive team environment—not just during the finals, but throughout the entire season.

A special congratulations goes out to Madison Marsh who also made the All-Tournament team for the Final Four.

Congratulations to the Tuxedo Tornadoes on an incredible season!
