The Tuxedo Union Free School District is thrilled to announce that Casey Juance and Amanda Dykstra have been named the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2025! 🎉

Acting Superintendent Nancy Teed and Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and George F. Baker Principal Jared Kahmar shared the exciting news with Casey and Amanda. School Counselor Chris Oliva and Senior Class Advisor Michelle Hines presented the star scholars with their certificates and congratulated them on their outstanding achievement in securing the top two spots in their class.

Casey is considering a path in mechanical engineering or pre-medical studies, while Amanda plans to pursue biomedical engineering. Both seniors are currently undecided where they will pursue their post-secondary education.

Mr. Kahmar commended the honorees for their dedication and commitment. "You have worked hard to earn this distinction. This is forever—you are the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2025 for the rest of your life."

Casey and Amanda will be recognized at the Tuxedo Board of Education meeting on March 19, attend the Outstanding Students Award Dinner hosted by Orange-Ulster BOCES, and receive a special medallion to wear with their cap and gown at graduation. They will also deliver their speeches at George F. Baker High School’s commencement ceremony on June 25.

Congratulations, Casey and Amanda, on this well-deserved honor!
