Artwork at Library

“Ending a year without art, George Grant Mason is back at the Tuxedo Park Public Library. The students are showing off their hard work and effort in artworks by the kindergarten and third grade.

Kindergarten is concentrating on shape and color through their version of artist Mary Blair inspired Shape Castles.  Students learned about Blair designing the original Snow White, Cinderella and the “It’s a Small World.,” ride. They had fun with pattern and color!

The third grade was introduced to Op Art (Optical Art) and created the illusion of three-dimensional space on a two dimensional image. They were so proud. For some it was the most three-dimensional thing they ever Created!  It is nice to be able to show off the wonderful artwork from the elementary school.”
