Join us for Parents: What You Need to Know About Vaping, Nicotine & Cannabis presented by Marybeth Tyrrell, Alcohol & Drug Awareness Council of Orange County
at 5:00 PM in the GFB auditorium
We’re excited to offer parents an engaging session with Marybeth Tyrrell as she breaks down the latest trends, risks, and realities surrounding vaping, nicotine, and cannabis. Her presentation will give our Tuxedo families clear, practical information to support conversations at home.
Earlier in the day, students will hear from Marybeth as well. Her student presentation is designed to be informative, and honest, helping them understand how these substances can impact their health and decision-making.
This event provides both parents and students with meaningful insight and tools to stay informed and make safe choices. We hope to have you join us right after Parent-Teacher Conferences! #TuxedoStrong #TuxedoPride #TuxedoUFSD

Parent–Teacher Conferences will take place Thursday, 12/4.

With winter weather predicted for tomorrow, we wanted to remind families of our procedures for inclement weather.
The Tuxedo UFSD schools will close or delay our opening when weather conditions create hazardous and unsafe road conditions.
Our automated emergency response system will notify families via text, calls, and email. Information will also be posted on our school website and social media.
Announcements will typically be made by 5:30 am.
In cases of a delayed opening, there will be no morning C-Tech for those high schoolers who attend.
When schools are closed due to emergencies, all after-school activities, including the Healthy Kids Aftercare program, athletic practices and games, and events are cancelled unless otherwise stated.
We will continue to watch this storm and make any decisions in the morning that might impact our day. Thank you and stay safe!
Our halls were filled with festive spirit this week!
Mrs. Sayles’ kindergarten students proudly crafted their adorable turkey hats, bringing big smiles and lots of giggles. These were made in the "Creation Station" with the creative Mrs. Hekl who helps guide our Kindergarteners in so many fun activities that bring them so much joy!
Mrs. Bock’s creative third graders designed their very own Macy’s Day Parade floats and paraded them through the hallways! A special thanks to Mrs. Bock and Mrs. Hackett who helped make sure these balloons were strong and ready to go!
We are so grateful for our students, staff, families, and the wonderful community that makes Tuxedo UFSD feel like home. Wishing everyone a warm, safe, and happy Thanksgiving! 🧡Stay tuned for more fun and creativity that happened this week! #TuxedoUFSD #TuxedoStrong #TuxedoPride #HappyThanksgiving

Mr. Kahmar, our Acting Superintendent and GFB principal, led our special Books and Breakfast assembly for our GGM students focused on gratitude. He introduced us to the heartwarming book The Crayons Give Thanks, and invited our 5th graders to read each page aloud. After the story, all students got creative by making thankfulness bracelets, with each bead representing something they are grateful for.
A big thank you to Mr. Kahmar and our students for celebrating gratitude in such a fun and meaningful way! 💛✨ #Gratitude #TuxedoUFSD #TuxedoStrong #BooksandBreakfast

This month, GGM proudly celebrates one student from each grade who has shown exceptional inclusivity and a welcoming spirit throughout the month. These students went out of their way to make everyone feel valued, included, and part of our Tuxedo school community. Their kindness reminds us all of the power of compassion and acceptance.
👏 Congratulations to this month’s spotlight students! Thank you for helping make our school a place where everyone belongs. 💛✨#TuxedoStrong #TuxedoUFSD #ProudTornadoes

We also extend our gratitude to the Sloatsburg Food Pantry and St. Mary’s in Tuxedo Church, whose generous donations of turkeys and all the fixings help ensure local families can enjoy a warm and joyful holiday meal 🧡.
Thank you to everyone who makes this tradition possible.

Our next drive will focus on pasta, sauce, rice, and beans, and we always welcome cereal, cake mixes, and canned goods.
It truly takes a village ❤️

Tomorrow, Tuxedo UFSD will have a half day for all students.
Pre-K dismissal: 11:15 AM
K–12 dismissal: 11:30 AM
There will be no school on Thursday for Thanksgiving and no school on Friday, we will resume school on December 1st. We hope everyone has a wonderful break and a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂✨ #Thanksgivingschedule #TuxedoUFSD #TuxedoStrong

Students brought in homemade, delicious foods and spent quality time sharing, laughing, and connecting with their friends and staff. It was a warm and joyful way to celebrate and show gratitude as we head into the holiday season. 🍽️✨#TuxedoUFSD #TuxedoStrong #Friendsgiving
