We have had a very high number of phone calls today in regards to the absentee ballots. All 2,100 ballots were mailed at 5pm last Friday and are taking time to be delivered. Households are receiving them at different times. Please give it a couple more days! If you don't receive one by next week please contact the District Clerk at 845-351-4799 or kdifrancesco@tuxedoufsd.org
Every year, the Tuxedo chapters of the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the sale of $1 “Blood Drops.” This fundraiser connects schools with local blood cancer patients, provides tangible life skills to participants, and allows students to see the impact they’re making in the lives of others. Although the donation process looked a little different this year with online donation, the NHS and NJHS raised over $400 which will go toward the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's goals to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Thank you to all who participated!
Thursday, May 28th Budget Hearing and Special Meeting Notice. https://5il.co/gq4s
This weekend is a time to honor the men and women who died serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day and originated in the years following the Civil War. In 1868, General John A. Logan declared May 30th to recognize Decoration Day as that date was not an anniversary of any particular battle.
In addition to honoring our Veterans, Memorial Day also serves as the unofficial beginning of the summer season. Please have a safe, healthy, and enjoyable holiday weekend.

Good morning and Happy Friday Tuxedo Family!
This week, as we all know, was National Teacher’s Appreciation week, and we would like to take a moment to recognize our Teachers for the amazing, fabulous job they do each and every day for all of our scholars! Now, more than they have all continually provided support, encouragement, and most importantly love to the community and families we serve.
All week long we have been collecting shout outs from families and students, receiving over 100, with positive feedback and wonderful remarks about the impact they all have made this year and always. Please see a link below of a video sampling of these shoutouts.
The work our Teachers put forth day in and day out does not go unrecognized or unnoticed. We are Tuxedo and we ALL appreciate you!!! Thank you Teachers, today and every day.
