The New York State Education Department
(NYSED) is suspending all NYS Elementary- and Intermediate-Level State Assessments for the
remainder of the school year in response to the statewide closures of schools and districts to prevent
the spread of COVID-19. This suspension for the remainder of the school year applies to the following
State testing programs:
New York State Grades 3-8 English Language Arts Tests
New York State Grades 3-8 Mathematics Tests
New York State Grade 4 Elementary-Level Science Test
New York State Grade 8 Intermediate-Level Science Test
New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT) in Grades K-12
New York State Alternate Assessment (NYSAA) for students with severe cognitive disabilities in
Grades 3-8 and high school

March and May SAT Administrations
In response to the rapidly evolving situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19), College Board is canceling the May 2, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) are also canceled.
Students who already registered for May, whose March test centers were closed, or who do not receive March scores because of any irregularities will receive refunds.
In the coming days, College Board will share additional information and details directly with registered students and test centers.

The Board of Education Meeting scheduled for this Thursday, March 19th has been moved to Thursday, April 2nd. All budget meetings will be rescheduled for a later date.

***HOW WE ARE KEEPING OUR CAMPUS HEALTHY***
A few weeks ago, we initiated additional cleaning throughout the schools and the buses. This includes the use of stronger NYS approved cleaning agents after the students have gone home for the day. We will continue with this regiment until further guidance suggests otherwise.
As of March 12th, the buildings will close at 7:00pm to all faculty, students, and visitors. This will allow our custodial staff to focus on disinfecting and deep cleaning of the building every night.
In preparation for the upcoming months, we have already purchased and/or ordered additional cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer in the event of a shortage down the road.
